Bike Names

Well I know that el Presidente has a bike called Barney, Racer 159 has one called Stinky (but Neil thinks it would be better called " Aroma" or " Twinky "), Kezsam has Orville and Rog666 - Damien. Friends of mine have a car called "Juggernowt" and another has a "Florence".
I have never had a pet name for any of my vehicles - except a long time ago I had a Honda CB400N Superdream that I used to call "Bastard", when it didn't work or "Superslug" when it did...

Does anyone else have pet names for their bikes (or cars)?

My car is Brum
My H1A is Alfie as in A is for...
My H2 is Albert, because it had to start with an A like Alfie
My KH 400 is baby Albert, because he's purple like Albert, but a smaller version
My H1B is Dougal, thnk about it :wink:
My 69 H1 is Mach
My A1B is Sammy

You're right there. And usually preceded by another beginning with 'f'.

Although I did have a GT550 triple back in the 70's with a number plate starting TLF, which naturally became 'Tealeaf', especially as it stole so much of my life changing oiled up spark plugs.

Fantastic photo! I love photos that really capture the era and that's a belter. Okay it looks ridiculous through today's eyes but with flares, bomber jacket, sissy bar, top box, 70s shades, helmet and hair Wolfie was looking quite the man about town back then. Cool.

But no, none of my bikes have/has had a name. Giving names to inanimate objects is what women and rampant homosexuals do (and I don't see many women in the club).

I didn't particularly mean from a true biking perspective. All kinds of cheesy thing were psuedo cool in the '70s. Glam rock for example.

I got my fair share of pulls from plod, I can't recall any being for the plate.. usually for going too fast..

It became a bit of a game with one copper, he got the nickname 'baby face' cos he looked like a kid, even compared to us twenty year olds..

I see. I suspect pseudo cool is a modernist phenomenum. Retro chick just really means wearing some clothes from a charity shop and pretending it's hipper than paying through the nose for modern overpriced "name" clothes ?

Hobo Boss, Pringles , stone island. Or with bikers belstaff and Lewis now . All overpriced fashion victim stuff for hipsters today.

Only problem here is that Wolfie still wears that stuff today. Except for the platform shoes !!!
