Just to let the Herts boys know, after I got home on the H1B all be it rather noisely with only 2 out of 3 baffles, I jumped in the car and shot back down the M1 to roughly where I remember it going and there it was on the hard shoulder looking remarkably un damaged what are the chances of that
thanks to Clive and Simon who offered up a couple of spare ones if needed

I know a bit of a story about that bike. Graham the owner was out on his very nice KH250 B3. Pottering along as you do, he noticed some idiot in a white transit behind him. The driver was flashing his lights and waving his arms. Reluctantly Graham pulled over expecting some sort of confrontation. The bloke jumps out of his van and walks over saying "you into Kawasaki Triples then, I've got one in my back garden under a tarp. Its been there years I think its a 400. Do you want It" !!!!!one of the 400s is on an illegal plate!!! L reg indeed
Graham gave the obvious reply and followed the bloke home. The bike was as he had said in the back garden. When they uncoveredthe bike it was suprisingly more or less all there and not a wreck. It is an Italian import and someone at DVLA must of made a mistake registering it and put it on an "L" plate.Graham did the right thing and took it away for VERY little money.

Re: GREAT DAY OUT
Enjoyed the day out and ride down to the ACE. A big thank you to SAM, Chris, Martin and Nigel for escorting me there and back. I was just waiting for something to go wrong on the B2?s first run out. The big clean and fettling starts from now. Thanks also to Paul for posting the photos.
Also pleased to see that martin recovered his baffle.
Simon.
