Its a proper Classic Bike show for 2 Strokers, weather dial has been set to "super" for the next years bash!

It's a very well attended bash regardless of the weather, but Nobby Sedge has booked sunshine again.
Triples turnout is usually beaten only by the Yamaha Lads, lets put em in their place this year (R you listening Mr Back Chat?)

Beginning of June my faithful Astra ingested a copper pipe from the gas system into number one cylinder.
So stripped the engine down and took the head of to local engineering shop.
Told me the gas system had wreaked the valve guides and it would be cheaper to source a second hand head, so sourced another head and had new stem seals a skim and a leak down test
Fitted the head and I have been unlucky as the pipe had snagged the top ring in number one bore causing the engine to miss and a very sooty plug, sometimes with a bit off a run the ring can free off, but as the car is out of mot then I can't run about in it, so I've finally admitted defeat and after 350,000 miles it's time to find a replacement
3 months without a car is driving Jo stir crazy, so I need to get it sorted sooner rather than later
