Ok gents
You pointed me in the right direction towards Neil the Don for my paint work, so now onto the frame paint or powder coat that is the question!!!
While I'm here, where to go for decent chrome plating and lastly best two stroke oil to use, I'd love to use castrol R but I know that's not a wise choice, this is my first tripple can you tell lol
Thanks
I always get my bikes powder coated it looks like new wears well and you can get various finishes the purists go for paint like the factory in fact if you want to be real authentic why not go for the original paint on bare metal in fact leave it after you blast it so you get a bit of rust it will give you something to do every winter strip it it down and re paint it. No brainier powder coating I have a guy in Glasgow does all my bikes he knows what parts to mask ect do not get someone who does industrial powder coating as a mate thought he was doing me a favour getting one of his customers to do it for me the guy was so busy I had to get the bits blasted and then he coated them 2 weeks later the finish was like a rattle can and guess what rust started coming through after a few months always get a recommendation from someone and if possible examine their previous work.
We always blast the frames to bare metal, treat any rust areas to prevent re-rusting, rub down and/or fill any areas where pitted with a special high temperature filler and coat any colour you want. Ask your powder coater if he does all these when coating your frame, i very much doubt it.
