Hello - first triple

Post by Batz »

Hi everyone - newby here saying hello. Took delivery of my first triple on Friday from Neil @ tripleworkshop (who has been an absolute diamond to date incidentally). Love 2 strokes (got a 350 YPVS pic below) and bikes in general ( my first love is a British café racer). Love anything you can put petrol if I'm being honest.

Neil is doing a full bhuna restore on the motor and arranging for paintwork to be done - no doubt that will involve some of you from here so thanks in advance for that :)

Oh - and thanks to Gra for being patient with me on joining the club/forum as paypal was playing up.

Anyhoo, just saying hello and also, predictably making my first (but definitely not my last!) appeal for help. The pipes need a bit of work - Neil says:

You`ll need to find a decent welder/brazer for them. Fill them with caustic soda/drain cleaner for a week to cleanse internally, then ask nicely at your local Chromer.

I think at least one of the exhausts needs unpicked, sorted and welded back together. I also need at least 1 baffle. All need chromed.

Any ideas on who might be able to take that on would be greatly appreciated - I'm in Central Scotland but would be happy to post.

Oh - and it goes without saying - I need a seat! Brown?
Thanks againImage

WTTC from the other side of the big pond!!

I took my H1 out for ride yesterday.....my neighbors must really hate me<LOL>!! I have PWK35's on a heavily modified engine and it had originally run very rich as the result of the smallest pilots available at the time, #35's but I had installed the new smaller #28 pilots when they came out and now it runs clean and fast.....WOW!

My headlight decided to take a dump so I'm going to have to remove the small fairing just to get to the screws to see what's going on but it's a blast to ride!!

Welcome and enjoy the build.....
