I talked to him a few times on the computer many years ago. And then I got to meet Kevin at Daytona in 2002. I tried to pick his brain as much as i could on the triples, but he was really into radial aircraft engines at that time, and that's all he wanted to talk about.
I did get one story about one of his H1R guys (can't remember the name) that kept blowing up motors by over revving them. Kevin finally built some pipes that just died at a safe RPM and the blown motors stopped.... 
Brake hard, downshift, drop it in, drag a knee and gas it out.......
