Paintwork craftsman recommendations

Post by SAE123 »

Hello,

I think I need to get my '71 H2 tailpiece repainted as it has a few too many chips on it. I can only assume that a previous owner some time back, liked to chain the bike up by the grab rail for security. The rest of the paintwork, as with the bike as a whole, is in exceptional, original condition, so a quality job which retains the original stickers and matches the colour to a high degree is needed.

Does anybody please have any recommendations or other steers on who I could go to for this please?
Regards

If its original why not leave it ??

It will only be original once. After its sprayed it will never be the same. :smt102 :smt102

Thanks for the referral Serps !!
But I have already talked to the guy about this job. He wanted the inside of the tailpiece repsrayed, and the outer scuffs touched in to match the original good quality paint scheme.

Even over the phone , without seeing the job I`d class that is nigh on impossible. For a multitude of reasons .

The best advice i could give here would be to go get another taipiece, and get the whole thing resprayed as close aspossible to the rest of the body kit. 9 Although , that`s assuming each original panel is exactly the same colour too ?!! )
