Thursday was a fresh sunny day and fitting for my good friend Dave Roberts funeral. 30 bikes joined him on his last journey. I took H2C and covered 80 miles.
RIP DAVE.

Got knocked off my Diesel by a c*** in Newmarket, genny cover cracked and dumped it's guts everywhere. Loads of rocking horse parts bent etc. may well end up a write off - owned it since 1980, so will get it back whatever.

Just nipped out to fill up prior to joining a local bikers funeral cortege with 50 plus bikes which I missed - shit happens

Enjoyed my gs750! Could have one of those gs1000 in my garage. Hope you can get it sorted. That's a long time ownership.

Finally got around to removing the very stubborn remains of a cylinder stud and putting a helicoil in ( careful to get the insert in square ),nice to rid the cases of swamp water all the way from Arkansas (barn find ha ).Now need treating the cases to a vapour blast and get the crank sorted out ,ps, the saw -disc cutter marks on the left side are not my work

Sun was shining, so met up with Graham (Toddyboy) at the Riverside cafe in Forest Row and then took the back lanes to Ardingly show ground for the Classic Bike show.

Great way to spend a few hours but Graham's 1970 H1 puts mine to shame so may have to do the the full restoration next winter!
