Posting Flickr pictures

Post by Bic_Bicknell »

Hi,

I'm trying to find an alternative to Photobucket so I can post pictures.

Just opened a Flickr account and have uploaded a picture but can't seem to get the image up here. I can copy and paste different sets of code etc. but they don't show up as pictures here automatically.

Can anyone write a simple instruction?

Thanks.

So I've worked it out.

Here's what you have to do.

Open a flickr account - it takes about two minutes, you need an e mail address and a password.

Place your pictures from desktop or photos folder - either by dragging and dropping or finding them through the link.

Use the upload button to take them to the Flickr site.

Click on the picture you want to post.

Click on the little arrow at the bottom right and copy the BBcode

Paste to the thread on the forum page where you want it to be seen

Thats what I was going to say - here's my GT750 in Dijon on someone else's Flickr account. So it doesn't even need to be your account.

Oh.....

I just saw the button below.

Well thanks Wolfie - I wish I had known that before, never thought about it because I always linked pictures through Photobucket.

I've just tried the attachment button, but this came up: The image must be at least 0 pixels wide, 0 pixels high and at most 640 pixels wide and 480 pixels high. The submitted image is 713 pixels wide and 535 pixels high.

Did you mention this site can resize them automaticaaly? It was a 4MB pic - I think...

This was my previous post when I originally tested the resizing, I have noticed that some images now get "windowed" with a scroll bar, it may be that something has changed.

I'll give it a re try when I get some time,
