SRX 600 would have been better, some CDI trouble but think 400 is japan market only very different even with electric start?

Welcome to Yamaha Sam, but it is not a two stroke. How does your collecting look with two stroke verses fours strokes.
Mine is 50/50 two stroke / four stroke.
Enjoy Christmas.

I hope it was cheap, otherwise buying something you don't know anything about could prove costly

Re: Oooops I bought a yamaha
I've just bought a cement mixer too.
Mines a Yam SZR660 tatty but got a good motor and yes it was cheap.
Its a weird thing with a 660cc single motor in an alloy 125 frame. In standard guise it must rank as one of the most ugly bikes ever made.
However gonna strip of everything off it and make it into some kind of streetfighter themed thing in yellow and black yam colours!
Should look well when finished hopefully.
Regards
Dave.
