Just packing and heading "home" I managed to find a H2c swing arm for Stephen, but, It was TOO big for my suitcase . . . It fitted into Lisa's though . . . . I sent her to the shops, unpacked hers, sneaked it in and now am keeping my fingers closed that hers are not overweight . . . Because she was UNDER this morning when SHE packed it

Well it was downhill from leaving home . . . the flight was delayed, and then cancelled, plane had broken undercarriage and parts were being flown in . . . we were given a hotel room and headed off there, meanwhile we were getting constant updates by text on the delay and confirmation it would take off an hour later, called the airline "no, its broken, it isn't going anywhere tonight" tried to get hold of Stouty who was collecting us without success, texted and hoped, went to bed, woke up to call Stouty who had been wandering around Heathrow for 2 hours looking for us! The flight DID take off and arrived 30 mins late, which all added to the confusion.

Spent the next 2 hours looking at alternate flights and hire options from different airports to find that Car Hire companies were all closed on Christmas day and the only Taxi was from Heathrow. Flight booked, Taxi booked . . . But wheres the bags ? So went to check on our bags (with the vital swing arm in) to find that they are being expedited on Virgin to New York! They were sent to try and catch us up at the flight that we should have landed on today! At this point, with 4 hours to take off, the snow is falling heavily and I can see 21 snow ploughs just out of this runway window! . . . No real clue what the next 24 hours will hold.

I DO have to say though, my most SINCERE thanks to guys off this forum and friends that have offered to leave their Christmas dinners with there family and come pick us up! You've brought a tear to my eye . . . I feel very humbled
