Engine Casings

Post by Saracen »

Am going to spray paint main engine casing with vht paint,

wondering what your thoughts are on colour, going to grey vht primer first.

thinking either silver or as bike paint work is orange then have main casings to match
rest of bolts on covers I have polished.

let me know, thanks and have a great christmas

Just a light misting with normal Silver/Aluminium (rattlecan) paint will be fine, VHT not needed for the engine itself.

Coloured engines look very naff.

Was it Dave Miller that clear coated his cylinder fins on his h1b 30 years ago . . . only to have it burn and turn yellow

Check it's ethanol proof, otherwise petrol splashes will remove it
