from what i have been told mate these will not suit the kawasaki,s dont know why

i looked into it not to long ago might be the way they charge up or discharge

Can anyone expand on what Keith has suggested? I was going to use the one on my CBR600 which is a sealed one also!

hi dave i did go on the yuasa web site and the type we need is a deep cycle type battery yuasa mucron or similar i have had one in my h1b for 4 years it has never let me dowm leave it all winter and she starts no problem even when i changed it 2 months ago because it went flat on me i found that was not my problem it was the brushes on my alternator that had jammed so it was not charging so it is probabley ok i would stick with the yuasa as most of the other non branded types by that i mean power sport ,ect ect you know not from a recognised manufacturer have been crap for me the one on my h1a which is power sport will discharge within weeks and i have not even had the bike on the road yet

They are designed for standby use, trickle charged not high current charging as in a motorcycle.

They will work but the overcharging will cause them to heat up internally, although it's very rare I have seen them leak in normal use, and they do make a mess, it's your call.

I wouldn't have one on my pride and joy for anything other than testing.

My H1e runs on a sealed battery on its side in tail due to no room due to mono shock!

SAM I I THINK YOU WILL FIND THAT I INSTALLED A CAPACITOR AS WELL TO ACT AS A SPONGE ALONGSIDE THE SEALED BATTERY THIS WORKS GREAT

I see what you all mean about the ones in the link, they look like alarm types, i hadn't looked at them until after i replied although the opinion seems to be go for top quality, i might use the CBR one to see if the elecrics work and see if it starts (bit more to do yet!) and then purchase a better one, Ta Dave
