Malcolm, Sorry mate but in the interests of fairness you're barred for a day! :D
To give everyone else a head start like. Although when it's identity is revealed I'll be wanting a new 'un from you anyway.

Are you sure Sam?

If I order one and it's wrong, I think Vics reply might be an option.. :D

It's the only key i have for the H2 and I'm feeling vulnerable. Thing is that I made the locks fit the key back in the noughties some of the locks say 916.

Let's see if Malc concurs.

If it's for your H2 72/73? it certainly isn't a 902 or 916 it will be in the range 685 to 705 excluding number 700 which they never used, unless it a UK/Euro model when it'll be in the range 706 to 710. The only way it could be a 902 or 916 is if you've fitted a later ignition switch or if the switch is so worn it will turn with a lolly stick.

The Ignition lock is certainly low security.. I went to the Rally one year with the key still in a drawer at home, first person I asked turned it on with his key. I have a good selection of slides in the garage but I think I ended up with only two in the lck

Maybe I would be better just looking out for a new Lock.Or visit the local heel bar for another low security key.
