Accent Electronic ignition

Post by Ogri211 »

Last year I was talking about electronic ignition for my H1B, I fitted power dynamo which gave me no end of problems, so I sent it back and re fitted my points. I have an Accent ignition fitted on my GT750 which has ran so good I have only had the plugs out to clean once in over 2500 miles. I asked the guy who makes them if he would be making one for an H1, he mentioned over the past year he was working with a Protype and would soon have one. Today he sent me an email saying he had one for an H0 would it fit an H1 I have never heard of an H0, im thinking he meant an H1 would it fit an H1B, he sent me a small video, can anyone identify what bike it is. https://youtu.be/9ND98cZb_NQ

Hi or H1

Not an H1D.

I'd say a late H1e,f or a KH500.

I would have thought it was an earlier one as it is a points one that's had their ignition system fitted , I thought all the later ones were standard with electronic ignition.

The one piece pipes indicate a later bike.

I have had to recently use my only spare stator and I quite like the idea of a modern replacement.

I put one of these on my GT750, which had points, the points were set and timed and the bike ran perfect, when I fitted the Accent, which only took about 30 mins, the bike immediately ran even better, revved smoother and after 3000 miles I have not had to do a thing the unit was only about £125. I have an issue with my H1 which is causing a misfire , I suspect that it is either ignition related or possibly the check valves on the oil feed lines, for me to start changing points , condensers that may even not have a problem is a large part of the costof buying an Accent system, which eliminates all of these items causing the missfire. Once the system is fitted and timed it can be more or less forgotten about.
