Thanks to John and his helpers for a brilliant weekend. A well organised rally at a fantastic venue in a beautiful part of the country. ... and the icing on the cake was the weather. Top marks all round.
A special thanks to Tom Parkes for organising and leading the best Triples rideout ever

Re: Peak Rally 2018
Aye Up ducks!
Brilliantly organised rally by John & Bev and all those that helped. That was the best ride out ever the scenery was simply breath taking.
Sadlleworth Moore & Holmfirth are one of my best loved areas along with Emily Moore beacon.
When we came out of Holmfirth we passed Jackson Bridge if your ever in that neck of the woods pay The oil Can Cafe a visit.
I have to say that was my last long haul ride to any bike rally I was absolutely knackered when I got home yesterday but glad I did it, ride home with Martin Deet on his H1d500 took us 5 gruling hours.
Well done everyone x

Just adding to what Gina said, the oil can cafe was at Hepworth but has moved to washpit mills, dunford rd, holmfirth ( if you google it can take you the former !)

Those two gnomes behind the (brilliant) triple patio heater make me smile! A few years ago they wouldnt have survived the weekend!
Brilliant weekend many thanks John Bev & Tom. Venue too was fantastic. The ride out was 120+ miles at a decent pace with 50 odd bikes and not one lost. I live in Derbyshire and the scenary never fails to impress me. To me this rally had the character of many earlier ones such as the miners welfare and The Gate. It was more about the fun of participating and meeting up with old and new friends and less "wrong bolt spotting".
Roll on next year
Cheers

Re: Peak Rally 2018
Thanks for a super weekend John, Bev and Tom.. Rideout was epic, some parts I never visited before, some smoke, some caning and I have to correct you Dave.. (only) 2 lost and 3 broken. Two of those (I believe) made it back, the other made it home.
But let's do it all over again next year..

Re: Peak Rally 2018
Big, big thanks to Bev for her pivotal help and support and for staying on site to look after those who arrived during Saturday - she missed out on the ride out and was gutted - maybe next year?
Tom Parkes - what can I say when when leading triples club members say "Best ride out ever" you played a blinder with th route - but I already knew that - but massive thank you.
Whilst I am thanking people for their help and advice:
Tony Davenport, Simon Lister, Nick Patience, Dave Higgs and Gary Bates also helping out with the marshaling.
James - wow what an amazing piece of work you produced - landladies were really disappointed when we took it back to you trailer. Without the help and advice from these guys the rally would not have been such a success.
And of course a huge thank you to everyone who attended the inaugural Peak Rally - coz without you lot there would be no rally!
We are now looking forward to the 2019 Peak Rally which will be held at the same venue.
The owners of the Square and Compass have asked me to pass on their thanks to you all for your patience and custom - they are really pleased we have booked for next year.
Here are a few pictures Bev took:

And some more:

Really sorry about this one

Short video of the bikes returning from tis epic ride out
View My Video
Just as an aside - my kids came down to support us and help out where they could which was really appreciated as they did all the vote counting and checking for us. My son Andrew is now looking for a reasonably priced 250 / 350 / 400 triple as he just loved what we were doing - bring on the next generation.
So if anyone has anything - please let me know.
Thanks again to everyone who attended.
John & Bev.

Re: Peak Rally 2018
Got home late last night then spent next hour watering the plants due to hose pipe ban.
I have to say what a great rally.
John Bev and Tom you did a fabulous job I'm so pleased I made the effort to go.
Had no idea the peak district was such a beautiful part of the country.
The weather made it such a stunning weekend.
Many thanks again for all your hard work.
Roll on 2019.

Re: Peak Rally 2018
Wow, what a weekend!
Now it’s my turn for thanking people.
Thanks John and Bev, This was great idea and such a credit to you both.
When I was asked to plan a route for the ride out I was honoured, but, a touch nervous. I know the area reasonably well but it is different matter when forty odd others are behind you who may not. Thanks to some expert guidance and encouragement from Dave, Simon and Tony (aka the Blackpool crew) I think it went quite well and am really pleased so many others think so too.
Thanks Gents, your input was very much appreciated. Certainly learned a lot in a short space of time.
Thanks also to everyone else who made the effort to attend and make it so enjoyable. People make a rally and you made this one a belter
Thank you weather and thank you bike for not missing a beat despite an almost total lack of maintenance for too long
Can’t wait to do it again.
Ohh and extra thanks Tony D, you seem to have fixed the computer too.
Cheers
Tom

Re: Peak Rally 2018
Hi folks,
A great big thank you for all of your support for the Peak Rally 2018 - after everything had been paid out we had a surplus of £340.58 which as stated would be donated to the local Air Ambulance charity. As it happened this was used on the Sunday of the Peak Rally outside the Square and Compass.
This is the E-mail we received from the Air Ambulance charity:
Hello John
I hope you are well.
Our finance team have made me aware of a donation you have recently given us, of £340.58, following your Peak Rally event. Thank you so much for the donation. We are very grateful. They also made me aware that you will be looking to do the event next year too; if I can be of any assistance with that, please do not hesitate to let me know.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards
Lee
