NEW BOOK ON KAWASAKI RACE BIKES (UPDATED)

Post by Kawaclive »

There is a new book coming out on Kawasaki race bikes from the early days , through the triples and onto the first fours. There is a special pre launch discount open to Triples Club members as detailed below in the extract from an e mail.

I would like to make to the Triples Group on the book Lean, Mean and Lime Green that is being released on October 15th.

I have attached details of the book and a copy of the cover.

The book will retail at £32, exclusive of postage and packing,

I would like to make a 'pre-release purchase' offer to the group of £25 plus free postage, In nett terms that is a 25% discount or more.

It would apply to all orders received before October 30th.

As our website payment arrangements are not set up to handle discounts, all these pre-release orders should be made directly via Paypal, with brgmultimedia@hotmail.com indicated as the payment recipient.

Hopefully this will be of interest to your group and I look forward to hearing from you.

Meanwhile, best regards

Bruce

RACING WITH KAWASAKI – THE INSIDE STORY‘Lean, Mean and Lime Green’ is the most complete story ever told of racing with the top Kawasaki team in the nineteen-seventies, the USA-based team on which most oft he Japanese factory focus was concentrated for that unforgettable decade of Formula 750 racing. Unmissable and unmistakable in their bright lime-green livery, the Kawasaki two-stroke triples in the hands of riders like Gary Nixon, Yvon Duhamel, Paul Smart and Mick Grant were among the most successful racing machines of the era. The story of developing and racing these ‘green meanies’ in boththe USA and Europe is told by Randy Hall, the team manager and development engineer from 1971 until 1983.He also looks back at the Kawasaki ‘red tank racers’ of the late 1960s, including the World Championship-winning 125cc twin ridden by Dave Simmonds, and tells the inside story of developing the in-line ‘tandem twins’ that won 250 and 350cc world titles for Kork Ballington and Anton Mang in the 1980s. Finally, although the book’s sub-title is ‘Racing with Kawasaki– The Two-Stroke Years’, it also covers the arrival of the four-cylinder Z1 900cc four-stroke and its successes in early US Superbike racing.Published by BRG Multimedia Ltd, the book includes over 100 illustrations in its 344 pages including rare archive shots by some of the top race photographers of the era aswell as superb colour studio photographs by Phil Aynsley and John Cox and the technical line art of Mick Ofield. It is priced at £32.00 with more details and ordering procedures available
via http://www.brgmultimedia.com.
