I've heard so much about what to use and what NOT to use.. when I got my H1b I was recommended Putolene TTX and then Silkolene (fully Synth) was recommended.. How about Motul fully Synth ?Wolfie wrote:.... but NOT silkolene.

oil
hum here we go :!: about a year or so ago i emailed silkoleen to ask them about the problem of running fullysyth on our type of bikes and the rumor that fully synth can cause a thermal barrier between the piston and the bore thus causing it to overheat and sieze, this question was answered by silkoleen to much amusement by themselves basically they said that they were not in the buisness of producing oils that could not cope with a 40year old 2 stroke and they went on to explain to the far end of a fart the benifits of all the types available, now after baffeling myself stupid over all these jaso figures ect the new oils should be far superior to the old crap that we used to put in 35 years ago so i came to the conclusion that i would run mine on comp 2 injector semi syth which it has been ok on runs cleaner ect, however i have talked to a few guys in the states and they reckon fullysynth and a few guys in the uk use fullysynth silkoleen ect and swear by it
so the choice is ours i think but why not silkoleen
wolfie
if the bike gets to much oil then it will sieze as i found out as it leans the mixture off at top end thus locking my back wheel a 90 in 4th not good :!: so too much is just as bad as to little
so come on what do some of our dragstars use
enlightenment from all please
