UK H2c expert help required

Hi KTC forum.

As you may know I've been searching for a genuine UK '75 H2c for my friend, Jason.

Through a great forum contact (thanks Steve) we have located one that is possibly up for sale in the South of England (South London/home counties area)and we are currently trying to arrange a viewing to take a good look at the bike.

The true, fair value of a bike like this is going to depend on a lot of factors like condition and history but also down to the details about how much of the bike is genuinely authentic and not pattern or incorrect for the year etc. I've picked up a lot over the years just reading through posts and having a laugh along with everyone else when pictures get posted and then the likes of Rick pick them apart nut by nut! But I'm not an expert and I couldn't, honestly, say to my mate that I could guarantee that what the bike was advertised as was at it really was.

So we're looking for a KTC member who lives in the South of England (only for their own convenience - if you wanted to come from Scotland that's fine!) who is very knowledgable about H2s and especially the H2c and all the model details that would make a bike fall at the top end of value versus the details that could be legitimately used to negotiate a better price.

If we could find someone willing Jason would be willing to pay all travel expenses and offer some sort of reasonable incentive for their time and effort. The other option is that we go and see the bike and take a lot of detailed photographs and then we pay someone for their time to give us a thorough review and report on what they see.

I would imagine you are looking at £20,000 + now for a gem UK h2c.

Last "nice" UK H2C ( restored) i know sold a year ago for £18,000.
Last "nice" USA import (unrestored/original) paint sold a month ago for £17,000
