He was an elder boy when i watched him racing.
Remember him at the end of the cronk-y-voddee straight at The Isle of Man, No 1 starter and on the TZ700, Awesome!

He used to work for Triumph as a factory road tester during the week then as a factory racer at the weekends.
Then went onto race Yamahas and was employed by Yamaha to improve the handling on the XS650 models.
Then went on to own a Suzuki car dealership.
Proper old fashioned racer, good to watch.

I remember Percy racing at Brands Hatch when I was a 'yoof', I think he used to race on Triumphs,with 'Norman Hyde' racing goodies fitted for a bit extra 'umf'. RIP.

A part of his victory at Le Bol d'or 1971, his second place on Belgium GP 500 1969 on a Triumph 500cc twin was an awesome result
