Daily Checks?

Post by doodah »

I had four triples over the years that plastic wallet under the seat has always been empty.
Is that supposed to contain the daily checks guide?

No, the wallet (Plastic tray ?) Contains the owners manual. the daily safety check was a label fixed to the cover of that tray on later models.

I should have been More specific - I was referring to the 70 H1 H1B and H2.There's no tray just a sleeve attached to the bottom of the seat by four bent tabs. So it also begs the question of what does the sprung arm inside the side panel retain?

Of all the side covers I have had over the years I think the only panel that had a spring clip was an H1b ?? just checked size of sleeve and a handbook won't fit so maybe spring clip was for handbook ??? I am sure someone knows the answer Thumbs Up

Isn't the plastic sleeve there on US bikes for owners to keep their ownership document in?

Yes my H2 and H1B have sprung retainers in the side panel, not the 70 H1
