Is It a H1F or KH500A8 ?

Hi

I have V5C for a H1 first registered in the UK on 26th November 1975
Frame number H1F 49948
Engine number KAE 119900
So is this an H1F as its registered 1975 or a
KH500A8 from the engine and frame numbers ?
I thought the KH500A8 was released 1976 ? or were they released before that ?

I used to have UK KH500 H1F 49955 and it was registered 05/03/76.

Sounds like your bike was sold as soon as it got to the showroom and mine hung around unsold for a while.

If the engine has the lump in top for the neutral plunger then it's a KH500 as the KH has a conventional 1 down 4 up gearbox

The KH frame also has more gussets and reinforcement on the frame tube junctions. Brake splitter is built into bottom yoke on earlier models (definitely H1E, not sure about H1F).

Engine & frame #'s are KH500.
