Its a scam that has been running for some time. If you look no one has bid that price and his buy it now is 6k. If you look at his other items for sale he has millions of pounds worth of stuff for sale. I report them to e bay on regular basis but they always come back on, some of the bikes listed have been on e bay hundreds of times and you would have thought e bay would sort themselves out, presumably the scammers must take some one in every now and again or they wouldn't keep doing it. I don't think the scam is about actually trying to sell the bike if you notice there is a little message saying you must contact them before you bid this is where I think the scam starts getting you to reveal bank details or for them to send some virus back to you, this message is common on every one of these scams and there have been hundreds, I will report them again but they will come back again unfortunately, usually when e bay have a free or cheap sell it offer.
Stay safe.

Just had another look, the person has items for sale must be hundreds of thousand pounds of stuff yet the highest value item he has ever sold is £33. If you notice under the photo of the bike is a message insisting you contact them before you bid but directly not through e bay, this is common to every one these scams and I believe this where the real scam starts, although I have never contacted them. I have reported it to e bay, if they take it down the usual thing that happens is that it will re appear with a different seller but the same stuff. I have seen the same stuff on here with 3 different scammers at the same time.

Did notice the message. Like you say, it must pull in some punters.

E bay have taken the ad down lets see how long it takes for the same stuff to appear from a different scammer. (probably the same one just using another account name).

They are back I knew it wouldn't be long. Same method different account. One thing that is the same in all these scams (see message under main photo) is they are insistent you contact them before you bid. Same bikes and equipment every time, you would have thought e bay could sort this out.
