Well the results are in.....

UK club members have 4.195 triples each.

I ran a poll on the club Facebook page and 87 members own approximately 365 triples between them. Rick and Neil both have 30+ so if we exclude them from the results the average drops to around 3 1/2 triples each, so Tony's guess of 3 each was pretty good.

38% of members have 1 triple.

Of course this is just representative of the people the took part in the poll but 87 responses out of a population of 600 is a very good indicator. It's a shame that if I'd conducted the poll on here I think I'd have struggled for numbers, such is the popularity of FB. I liken it to city dwelling as opposed to village life. Facebook is raucous, largely anonymous, fast paced, forgettable. The forum is leisurely, rooted, homely and reassuring. I've been spending too much time in the city lately, it stresses me out because it seems that all the villages have sent their idiots there. On forums the idiots are quickly pilloried into silence but on Facebook there's a dozen of them on every corner.

Yeah I've been spending less time on there, it was taking up far too much of my time and I would get angry at idiots posts

My life is a lot better just dipping in and out now and again
