KH250 enamel badge repair?

First post so bear with me! A5 model, I have managed to knock the side panel badge off while kicking over the engine. On inspection it was already damaged on the pins and was fixed with adhesive pads.

Question 1: anyone successfully repaired or replaced the pins for a more secure fixing?

Question 2: the colour of the enamel paint is cream - is this originally correct or has ageing turned it so from white? And if so any recommendations on paint?

A lot of people cut the pins off and stick them on with strong double sided tape, so the pins aren't really required these days. I do prefer to keep them for original appearance, but never tried repairing one.
The cream was bright white when new
