Find It, Fix It, Flog It

Post by Triple Parts »

I am not the biggest fan of Henry Cole, especially when he is turning cheap tat into expensive tat, but this one does include a triple. Yes, it's the legendary KH500 Widowmaker, the bike that revolutionised motorcycling. Prepare to cringe!

I like quite a few of Henry's tv shows, he actually helps, a bit !
It's usually Allen Millyard or Sam Lovegrove that do most of the work.

I don't understand the downers. There isn't anyone else who has produced anywhere as much material promoting motorcycling in such positive light. If it hadn't been for his enthusiasm and industriousness there would be, well zilch that I can think of.
Don't watch it if it troubles you so. It is human nature to have different likes and dislikes. I can't stand football, but never beat on about it when it gets mentioned.

I agree with you as well Hal.

We don't have enough motorcycle shows on TV.

Exactly. It's all quite gentle with no malice or that false jeopardy nonsense you always get now with it scripted by the kids fresh out of TV Production College where they are taught how it is supposed to be done - incorrectly.

Nail on the head. I'm usually sent out of the room for being grumpy and cynical when that sausage machine drivel comes on. Not just false jeopardy, false everything. Henry's stuff can be a bit vacuous at times too, but it's pleasantly harmless and other than the odd toe-curl, seldom makes me want to smash the house up.

I do find The Repair Shop very watchable.

Something must have gone wrong for this to be on the BBC because the channel is a load of sh-t and it`s criminal that we have to pay for a TV license, legalised theft.

Repair Shop is great.....Jay and Will getting a fair bit of screentime these days......even Dom the metalworker is doing more stuff. The look on the clients faces when they see their belongings back as good as new can be a bit emotional at times.... Thumbs Up
