H1 500 swingarm mounting issue

Hi guys
So, i tried everything, when the swingarm is fitted with bronze bushings and the end covers with the rubber ring, it wont fit the frame.

I removed the rubber ring and slide right in.

Is this ok or is it necessary to have those rubber o rings in??

From memory! I think the o rings sit over the swing arm, if they are compressed inline I would think they would wear and develop free play, the manual doesn't show much so can't go by that.

That is correct.....took a swingarm out of a 69 frame last week. The O rings should sit over not squashed inbetween....
