Future magazine idea?

Post by malc87 »

Im thinking of doing a members profile/questions to answer?
Idea is to have a set list of questions to ask a member starting with RB/myself/the commmittee/forum members etc and work our way down from there?
Obviously
first bike/favourite bike/job etc etc.
Fisrt of all do you think its a good idea and second if you do give me your ideas/thoughts on questions.
Sensible (ish) answers only please as I MAY delete your post if its not.
I would do a least one per issue but if i need to page fill i can do a couple?

Sounds like a plan Malc, I can't see a problem with that, obviously folk will no doubt be 'cautious' about what they reveal...its always interesting to hear/learn a little more about other forum and club members that we may not otherwise know ;)

I think it's a good idea and puts a name to a face. As long as they are not daft inane questions like some mags (The LC Club)

You will have your standard questions like how you got into triples, so you could ask about other hobbies apart from bikes. Places of interest home or abroad that you would visit, and in my case NO football. :D :D

I'm with Tony on this , it certainly took me a long time to work out who was who on the forum when I first joined the club. For those outside the "inner circle" the whole business of forum names is confusing and possibly off-putting, particularly for new members. Including committee members forum names in recent club mags is a good move. Thumbs Up

If I could also add another suggestion in relation to this .....that those manning the stands at shows and rallies also had a badge, embroidered logo or some other means of identification. People are much more likely to approach a trade stand and strike up a-conversation if they have some idea of who they are talking to. Sort of an icebreaker.
Just a thought.

Just so long as the questions can be seen to be relevant to the Bikes and/or the Club, it sounds good to me.. Thumbs Up

The name badge idea is good too, even if they have to be handwritten on the day.

Hi Malc,
I like Tally B's ideas for questions. Thumbs Up
Also, an understanding that not all questions must be answered ... if someone's a bit uncomfortable with something.
Me, I'm pretty much an open book though :D

All good, I do like my "Most memorable Triples Club or Rally experience?" though. May unearth some good stories ;)

Possibly ask interviewees to perm 10 from the list, to mix it up a bit every month?
