Just read a bit more detail on the bike history.
I never knew John Edge, but apologies to those who did if this thread may seem a bit inappropriate.
Mods feel free to delete if so.

Poor choice of words calling it the widowmaker after John passed away but that was a regular term used to describe it although more so in the USA back in the day.
Its being sold as are all Johns bikes and spares to raise money for Johns wife.
Ian Poysner Johns brother in law is handling all of it and has been attending auto jumbles ,Stafford etc and also intends to do the peak rally with a large amount of spares for sale.
Ians a great guy to deal with having been to the house a few months ago to buy some of the H2 parts.

Agreed Malc - Ian is a nice chap and easy to deal with.
When I went therearound Christmas time there was talk of the Millyard special perhaps fetching £40k - it's a difficult one to value :smt102

Sold for £29,250 plus £500 commission.
Would 2 standard bikes have been a better investment ???. :smt102

Big money!
I wouldnt pay it but Im not keen on the multi cylindered triples.
Although I make an exception to Simon Whitelocks 7 cylinder which I really liked
Would I get 30k for the NOS H2B??
I dont know, seems a lot of money for the 4 cylinder...............

Yes but it was in the crate ( mine is assembled).
RBs in the crate was not a mint mint bike which mine is.
In a crate is VERY unique though!

So enamored with that bike at the Ilkeston rugby club rally, I once "offered" John £10,000 ( or should i say beer offered that price) for the H2 but he said he would never sell it!
