H2/B - Green or Brown ?

Hi
I've reached the painting stage, and am pondering the "Green vs Brown" question

I'd go brown, if I had just one project bike, to keep, but after a bit of a mix up on a well known auction site bidding on multi projects at the same time, know I will be selling more than one once complete

All the project H2/B's are March / April 1974 with matching numbers - so originally Green or Brown (Gold)

I'm asking for help / opinions / votes to know which would be the best "Commercial" option, as an inevitable sale will follow completion

I like the brown if it's done right, it's a bit different. But if you are selling, definitely green will give you a broader appeal.

seems green is the favoured so far, which I had a feeling might be the case, I've a soft spot for Brown (Candy Gold ?) - but then again, I've always taken "the road less travelled"

In my opinion the green H2B is the classic Kawasaki colour scheme of the seventies. But then I am biased of course. ;)

Green for me too.
Original brown does look nice in the sunlight BUT the green is a proper kawasaki colour 😄

Had this choice with mine earlier in the year… and it has to be green.

brown even if mine was a genuine green and still have the whole body in green in VGC.

Brown will have rarity value if you're selling ?

I always buy on condition not colour (so long as the colour is an original one). I reckon for 1974 you need to go brown as per the Sweeney Consul GT !

Not Sweeney brown but a colour called Sienna brown before British Leyland decided that Russet Brown was the way to go! Must admit I wish my Triumph was a nice Brooklands green but I bought it on condition, interesting that brown was a no no at the time but has since found favour as it is such a colour of the seventies.

Seriously though it sounds like you would go brown if it was a keeper but I reckon buyers will prefer the classic Kawasaki green for that proper Green Meanie experience Thumbs Up

it seems green is the "sensible" wider market option, and I do already have one in brown, which has the original tank paintwork still
the triumph car - reminds me of a good friend at college, he had the 2500PI version, went very well as i remember - especially as it allowed boozing at lunchtime without having to ride back half cut

green it is

many thanks for everyone's kind help and advice, below (fingers crossed) is my first one, with original brown tank - all redone, rebuilt engine, carbs, fuel tap, clocks, switchgear, shocks, forks, etc.

Why not paint them the colour they were originally. I am sure Rick will know what colour they were.
Ever started something you wish you had'nt.

Hi, I would but as a US import a few years ago, the title has no colour mentioned on it, and when I got it the tank and tail were an off matt black (and scraping and sanding did not find a colour underneath to return to) side panels were missing
Therefore green and brown are my choices from the year as far as I know
