am Ralf Schipmann's head on one of my H2, great improve, nearly no more surge and better fuel consumption (around an average ofan half liter less per 100 kilometers) have ordered two other sets for my other H2

Ah, just wishful thinking on my part Rog, I'm moving house next year and I'm sure there'll be room for one more, we haven't really started looking yet but if the garage ain't big enough I'll modify it !

Anyone with any feedback on reprofiled heads on a H2? particularly H2C, not just the increase in hp which would be expected but also low speed running-Town type stuff in 30/40mph area's

am standart engine, carbs, air box and exhausts actually on my H2B with Schipmann's heads.
I can stat on first ggar w/o using the clutch, engine is more round and I got an half liter less on 100 kilometers, same when I fitted expension chambers on my H2B
Same on my H2A with TM 32 and sometimes expension chambers

I think the main idea behind re-profiling is to allow you to use todays faster burning fuels, without risk of detonation.
So reliability would be the main benefit.

At my knowledge you can't profile a H2 head w/o recharging the head.
It's possible on H1 w/o recharging the head and on S2 but with S1 head.
BTW H2 or H2C head is the same excepted the fact the outer fin is polished on H2B C.

forgot to say there is very less surge with Schipmann's heads.

I had a spare set of heads reprofiled inc welding up first, I took this approach to keep the standard 'look' of the bike, the bike performs very well with the heads fitted, If the bike is
70hp std it must be close to another 10hp with them fitted, quite strong from mid range to top end, a change of clip position on needle sorted the fuelling once past 1/4 throttle
BUT in 30/40 limits on a very slight throttle (prob 1/16 to an 1/8th) the bike is horrible snatching at the chain, I spent ALL of last week trying to get the bike to run as sweet as it did/does on the std heads, I have:
2.5 and 2.0 slides, 5EJ15, 5FL14 and Ivans needles, a set of UFO with 15/17.5PJ and PJ's ranging from 32.5 to 42.5, I tried just about every combination carefully setting up and adjusting air screws/clip position.
Plus i set up the ignition plate to allow a +/- 5 degree swing to advance and retard
(Heads now also 'O' ringed and take a long reach spark plug, I tried B8ES. B9ES, and in desperation BP9ES (extended nose) with no better effect
It didnt seem to matter what I did to the carbs jet/needle wise, the chain jerking/snatchy ride remained
In the end I swapped the heads back and my nice smooth bike returned..............Any thoughts of advice greatly appreciated

I think the answer to your problems lay on a dyno to get the bike set up correctly, it is the best way of getting a proven diognosis. I use Andy Ball at 2t engineering, for my heads and the set up, without this I don't think I would be anywhere close to having the bike set up. Only so much you can do with standard carbs! Andy Ball heads and consider carb upgrade

Always Super unleaded but sometimes Shell, sometimes Tesco.
I realise that every bike is different and requires different jets etc, I would have thought with all that I have tried I would have been able to alter the fuelling area I am talking about
