Pretty much finished really!
I swear some bugger comes and welds new brackets on this frame each night!
This evening's haul: Looking rather more svelte now though!

Re: Mallory or Bust
I can see it taking shape, its going to be one hell of a special, 6 barrels, 2 wheels, a crank and a pair of steps?

Re: Mallory or Bust
I always find triple frames to be a tad rigid. I prefer a more organic ride with plenty of feedback from the handling, so, to that end....
He he, I'm not leaving it like that silly ...... I've got a nice pair of strap hinges to weld in the gap.

I tried the hinges but I didn't like them. They made the frame really bendy. So...

Never! I'll be there and my bike will be there - even if it's not running!
I'm taking next week off to work on it full time (and some). Building a special in 3 weeks was always going to be a bit of a challenge but I'm lovin' it.
This is my first special. I did half heartedly started one back in 2012 for Spa but I ran out of time and direction. I've had 10 years to think about this so I know pretty much where I'm going with it.

Re: Mallory or Bust
Cutting, grinding and welding in 85 degrees is no fun.
Should have frame alterations finished today, I'll do the finish welding tomorrow and then build the engine.
Cylinders have seen better days but I think they'll clean up okay. Got some used pistons from the wankered mustelid on Ebay.
What? You didn't think I'd be spending some money on this did you?
