wheel rims steel or stainless

First i would like to say hello my location is Southampton Hampshire , new to group just purchased a h1e 500 mach111 just got around of passing my eye around bike . i have rust in the rim so it looks like i will have to purchase new rim unable to find a new oem one . which is better steel(chrome ) or stainless rim been quoted £320 for rim and spokes and build for stainless steel . or could some one point me in the right direction for a new oem rim ? cheers.
