Hope it's not as bad as you think
Needs replacement 5th and 1st output gears as well as shift fork. Made more awkward because I use a Nova CR conversion. They do undercut 5th and 1st gears with a shift fork, but their 5th isn't compatible with the CR 1st gear.

The good news is that I've sent them a couple of worn stock 5th gears as patterns and they've promised me a replacement FOC. I doubt I'll get it in time to fit it for Mallory, but we'll see.

And further good news is that they'll probably start making replacement stock 5th gears.

Getting a bit off topic now, so I'll reserve any further post to whether I'll be there or not.

Kev... I'm in the same boat. No tickets yet.
I got through to Mallory and they gave me the number of a lady who is dealing with FTB tickets.
Let me know if you want her number.

Just to double check, does our track session tickets include another entry pass for a mate/missus. I seemed to remember it said so on the booking form, but my entry pack doesn't say so, it just has a QR code thingy for entry. :smt102

I've just got mine and there are 2 competitor tickets and a vehicle permit.

Interestingly, VMCC told me a few days ago that after a member vote all admin is being done by Mallory Park, but the tickets came in a VMCC envelope. And I've been in an email dialogue with a VMCC member of staff that's arranging the parade sessions . . .

I asked the same question months ago on this post, and no one knows if they'll actually do a sound check, there was yes and no replies.

I couldn't borrow a sound meter off anyone so I bought one and guess what... my Denco's came up as 106db and the Higgy's 108db at 3000rpm (which someone said was the throttle position). I'll bring the sound meter with me if anyone wants to check theirs. I'm going for the Denco's with some wire wool stuffed up em for scrutineering, fingers crossed...

If they test to ACU regulations it is 105dBa at 6,300 rpm for a triple.
I am not sure that there will be any scrutineering for road bikes, probably just black flag any noisy bikes that are setting off the noise meters around the track.

If they test to ACU regulations it is 105dBa at 6,300 rpm for a triple.
Depends on the capacity and the stroke of the engine, for an H2 it actually works out to be 6,190rpm based on the ACU formula rather than the table of 'usual bike capacities', but holding one to that rpm is well nigh impossible, so anywhere just above 6000 should be good enough.

Other capacities Bore and Stroke:- S1/KH250 45x52.3mm = 7,457rpm; S2, S3, KH400 53x52.3mm = 7,457 (same stroke as 250); H1 & KH500 60x58.8mm 6,632rpm; H2/A/B/C 71x63mm 6,190.

The formula is outlined in the 2022 (and earlier) ACU Road Race Regs P31 Section 14.8.6 and is based on a mean piston speed of 13m/s.

Having said that, this isn't a meeting run under an ACU permit so any rules may apply!!

Fun stuff this sound measurement!!

Hi all,

My first event and am all signed up for 4 sessions on Saturday. Having received the final instructions I am a bit concerned about the clothing regs. I have a leather jacket and armour but no zip or a textile "Rally Suit" with armour that does zip together, but not all the way around.
I don't really want the expense of buying a whole new outfit for one event, any experience of how strict they are on the zipping together bit?
Alternatively does anyone who is going on Saturday have some spare jacket and trousers zip together combo or one piece? The other snag is I am 6ft 3 and 14 stone,(slimish)!

Cheers

I received the club stand tickets last Friday and have sent them to those who are just doing the stand.
I'll be arriving at around 1pm on Friday to set the stand up.
I have a spare textile jacket trouser set (size large) that I'll bring.

Don't forget your Driving Licence.

I don't know how strict they are around noise or clothing requirements.

YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO TAKE YOUR DRIVING LICENCE OR ACU LICENCE AS THIS WILL BE CHECKED[

Does it say somewhere that they have to zip together?
As I understood it, normal riding gear is fine as long as there is no gaping flesh and no denim jeans (even armoured) or trainers.
At Jurby they never checked anything and one guy in our group went out on track with trainers!
