Vandalism or Progress?

Post by Antarctic Boy »

Not sure if I've managed to copy the link in properly - but someone has converted a KH250 into an electric version and wants £20k for it on eBay - have to admire the ingenuity but something that looks like a triple but isn't a triple ain't for me especially at that price!

It's SImon Whitelock's latest bike project, it was at the Southern rally this year and as usual there is a good deal of very competent work gone into the build..

There's a video of RB riding it somewhere on the T'interweb.

Beautifully finished. Did he add extra width into the tank, seat and tailpiece?

Simon is also thinking of selling his 48 cylinder again. Only £100k and it's yours....

Totally agree. I can't believe how many people are crying on FB about ruining a classic bike

People don't realise he didn't cut up any bike at all. He assembled the various pieces from the stash of parts he has lying around.

Do I detect a little bit of triple "racism" or perhaps snobbery? Okay to cut up KH250s would that still apply if the electric bike was an H1 or H2....

Just being devils advocate and stoking the fire of this thread! People can do what they like with their stuff.

There are probably more H1/H2 specials than anything else.
