Just picked this up. Original from an insurance repair in the 80s. Bit of a dent on other side.

It is a shame but my main reason for buying it, other than having it as a reference, is that it's got a brand new side panel badge stuck to it! Remember my trauma of missing out on a pair of NOS badges by a hair's breadth? They were up near the £600 mark (landed) when I bailed out of the madness  . I eventually managed to track another one down and secure it so now I have a pair. My guess is that when the insurance job was carried out, they bought 2 new badges (£3.47 each in 1983) but only used one and stuck the other on the old tank for practice?

For me you can't do paintwork unless you supply an original item to copy. Thumbs Up
