Update on the new engine or rebuild

Post by Philly »

Quick update on last post of mine regarding buying a H2b for top dollar then it pissed out oil everywhere and piston slap
Took engine out , gave it to a mechanic who works on 2 strokes, left hand cylinder has a 2cm crack in the cylinder and crankcase was bodied together with out using proper gasket sealant
Bought a cylinder and piston from eBay for it , gonna have to get them all rebored , but oil leak is sorted
Asked the guy I paid 15,500 quid if he would foot the 350 quid for the cylinder and he’s gone deaf and dumb on me , so that’ll be a no then
But all should b good eventually, so thanks for your advice guys

I'm so glad your getting sorted, not so glad to hear the chap you got the bike form has nothing to say or at lease offered to help you out, may be best to name and shame so others are warned to stay away form him.

Sorry to hear that, thanks for sharing. Apparently he’s “not a dealer “, he just seems to sell a lot of bikes

Ahhhh . . . . Greg Daniels, who threatened to fly over and "sort me out" if I ever commented on One of his bikes for sale ever again 🙄
.
This would be the bike advertised as being so perfect "It's only missing it's wooden crate" 🙄
