Peak Rally 2024 - 28th - 30th June

Post by johnnymoped »

Our venue once again is the Miners Standard, Bank Top, Winster, Derbyshire DE4 2DR
Friday 28th to Sunday 30th June 2024
The Rally will take it's normal format.
Friday evening ride to Matlock Bath for something to eat - or just for the ride.[
Saturday ride out around the fabulous Peak District and surrounding counties with lunch and fuel stops.
Leave at 10:30 prompt - fuelled up and ready to go.
On our return all bikes will be parked up in the judging / show area.
there will be a raffle and trophy presentation in the evening.
The campsite is large with 24 hour showers and toilets.
Pre-booking is ESSENTIAL, early booking is strongly recommended.
When you book with the pub please advise them that you are with the Kawasaki Triples Club.
Entry to the event is free but ALL camping / caravans / vans and motorhome fees MUST be paid to the Pub. The charge is £7 per person per night.
Telephone 01629 650279
e-mail info@theminersstandard.co.uk
Full English breakfast is available Saturday and Sunday morning at 9am but must be pre-booked the evening before.
Fabulous food is available at the pub and the service is first class - Lyndsey, Wes and the crew welcome you all :smt039
For those that don't camp - there are plenty of hotels and bed and breakfast locally. Glamping is also available on the pub campsite.
If sufficient people book into the Matlock Premier Inn a mini bus could be arranged from the pub Friday and Saturday evening for a nominal fee - please let me know if you have booked and would like this.
look forward to seeing you all at this brilliant venue.

Morning Jeff,
Would be great to see you two again mate.
Bring Doug with you too - think he is here during May and the beginning of June - hoping to catch up with him as he is visiting a great mutual friend Thumbs Up

John, having just got home from 3 weeks in Japan, this year is definitely a ‘no go’, as much as we’d like to.

Doug is a massive IOM fan, so those dates probably work out.
I’ll tell him to get in touch.

Have a great rally, I’ll be looking for the photo’s and reports.
Cheers.

Morning Guys - just 4 weeks to go.
Last year Winster Wakes was on at the same time as the rally - it's a week later this year so will not effect access to the rally.
See you all soon.

I won't be able to make this event other than dropping in for breakfast on the Sunday morning to sniff the blue haze (not that it matters, you don't know me)....but today I took a ride over to the cafe and what great roads and scenery. Especially the A5056 from the south. I'll defo add this to my rest stops in future. Grabbed a coffee and a green h1 whizzed by!

One thing I won't miss about organising a rally is people putting negative weather forecasts on Forums and Social media in the run up.
I used to try and delete them if I could, but numbers were well down at this years NW Rally due to people weather watching. As it turned out, we had loads of sunshine and a lot of people missed a great event.
So ignore the forecasts and just do it Thumbs Up

I'm riding to the rally regardless, it wasn't meant to be a negative comment :-|

Gary, you certainly can't be accused of being a "fair weather" rider. The first NW Rally 2009 :D
