Southern Rally 2009 Thank You
Thank you to all the organizers of the event in particular the Reverend Delboy DJ. I had a lovely day, met new interresting people, saw lovely bikes, had a fantastic ride out ( shame about the 3 points
) Well done all and thank you very much.
Nobody really cares if you're miserable, so you might as well be happy.

Gotz, it was a pleasure to meet you yesterday - Very impressed with your peach of an H1f. Hope your journey home was ok.
Gary, thanks so much for your extremely kind offer of the loan of your van if I needed it to get my H1 home. Just after I spoke with you about that, I phoned the breakdown recovery people with a sigh... They told me the recovery van would get to the Lower Bell "in approx 90 minutes"
. Whilst I was waiting I decided to whip the spark plugs out for the umpteenth time for a clean & dry, and the throttle slides came out once again for yet another tinker. Bugger me, it fired-up on reassembly!! You may have heard me holding it at 6,000 rpm as I slipped the clutch and disappeared into the darkness up the hill. I made it home in 30 minutes without stopping, then phoned the breakdown number to apologise for messing them about. Needless to say the van wasn't even on it's way to the Lower Bell even at that stage! So, they couldn't really give me a hard time... Anyway, thanks again for your generous offer. Cheers, Mark.

Glad that so many made the effort - Thanks to Del for all his hard work in organising everything and if I hadn't had that last bottle of wine when they kicked us out the pub last night I'd have been up earlier and heading up the M1 towing those Porta-loos!
