Fuel tank cleaning H1F 500

Hi all
Anybody any idea what I can use to clean my tank out before I fit, my restored tap and carbs by Tangoman. Will need to be mild so as not to damage paintwork. Would fairy liquid and hot water do it ????.

Why are you cleaning it, is it rusty or do you just want to flush it?

White wine vinegar and a a swirl with petroil afterwards.......if bad then brick cleaner....hot water afterwards and then hot air gun and petroil.....non of this should muck up your paintwork.

Hi , just want to flush it to remove any sediment etc, before fitting my converted tap and cleaned carbs by Mark Tangoman.
Just thought it would be good practice all clean etc.

Do I need to dilute the vinegar with water or use it neat.

If you just want to flush it, why not use some old fuel?
