Calling all Yorkies, Anyone for Chips on Wednesday 9th Jul?

Post by Wolfie »

That weather forecast is looking good for the rest of the week so lets try and get out in the Sun for a Chip and Fish rideout on Wednesday evening.

Plans are still being formulated but there are two possible destinations on the list at the moment, Delph (over the Dark side) or Skipton. Either of which give a good ride out.

Either of those would make the best meeting at Starbucks Opposite the Three Nuns at Mirfield (Battyeford) somewhere 5pm ish.

Final details and times TBA later.

This is NOT a Triples Club event.

Destination is Westmoreland Chippie in Skipton.

Main meeting point at Starbucks, Opposite the Three Nuns at Cooper Bridge/Battyeford (Mirfield) around 5 to half past, set off when we feel like it.

My late parents used to occasionally treat me and brother to Sunday lunch at the Three Nuns ......many, many moons ago

There was some story that Robin Hoods grave was in the woods behind the Three Nuns :smt102

I'd love to join ya but it would be a 300 mile round trip, which even if the fish & chips are better than say Whitby, would be a bit too far for me ... enjoy yourselves ya greedy buggers

It's a Miller and Carter Restaurant now Rog... Gone the way of many of our cherished Pubs.

Yep I heard that Robin Hood story too, but it would be a little difficult since.... it's a legend.

Or, is it??
