Hi All.
A couple of questions regardiing the H2C specific oil feed to the carb bowls:
1. The parts book I have does have a section near the back, listing H2C specific parts. It even shows a drawing with the oil pump to engine pipes but the part numbers listed are the same as the H2B and the drawing is the same as the more detailed one further forward in the book, in the H2B section. So what I am after is the correct part numbers for the banjo bolts seals where they screw into the carb bowl, or are they the same as the H2B?
2. When you go through some carb maintenance, maybe Ivan's jet kit fitting, you refit the carbs with empty bowls. Then using prime on the tap you can get the bowls full of petrol, but what about the oil - does this mean you risk the first start with no oil in the bowls? Do you put a couple of shots of oil in the bowl before connecting the petrol lines?
3. Suppose this goes back to the oil valve shut-off in the oil pump feed line story, but do people have trouble after leaving the bike for a while, with the bowls filling up with oil, especially with these lower viscosity 2 stroke oils around now?
Thanks. Just after a bit of advice from the people who know!
Nigel

H2B and H2C are the same, It is H2/H2A that have a different system

Re: H2C Carb Oil Feed Questions
OK thanks. Yes, I see that. Now to explain why I cannot see a drawing with the correct lines on. Even the page with the carb spares doesn't show an oil connection to the bowl, so do we just take that the part number given will be the correct type, irrespective of the drawing?
Oops! Just had a look in the book and it doesn't even list a spare bowl part number.

Re: H2C Carb Oil Feed Questions
First start - Oiling, seems to have become question of the week. The first start without oil feed is not a problem.
Just left ticking over or even occasional blips of the throttle, a two stroker will run for a very long time without any damage done, Petrol itself gives, albeit very light lubrication.
There are unconfirmed stories of people riding home very carefully having run out of oil too... Anyone here managd that?

H2b/c oil pump and lines is shown in the parts diagram but is badly illustrated and looks like the 3 fuel bowl lines are crankcase feeds, but if you look at the part number the seal is described as 6.1mm
p/n for fuel bowl seals is 92022-077

Re: H2C Carb Oil Feed Questions
OK. I guess first start will be OK but am tempted to wind the oil pump control disc up to max manually, with the engine at idle, for a short period. I believe this is the so-called oil pump bleed procedure anyway.
Regarding the parts list Tilly. Parts list is very similar, though with some differences, but the numbers on the drawing are all over the place. So where did the list come from? I think my book came from one of the well known suppliers, like kawatripleparts or similar.
Thank you both.
