Hi
this may sound a daft question, but I have found what I think is an original under seat riders handbook
the pages are off white, but even and slightly shiny
I had a repro manual, which had brilliant white pages - this is definitely older looking
the manual is complete, the 2 x staples have some rust staining, but not furry or brown
the outer of the spine has some creasing and wear
It also has wear marks on the outer cover that correspond to the wiring diagram sized folded inside.
It all looks like a well kept original, but looks too good
it has been wet at some point, there is a very feint water mark on a couple of the centre pages, and the whole manual has a a very slightly lumpy or wrinkled feel when closed
the rear cover says printed in Japan, Part No 99997-810 in Dec 1973
but so did the repro one
I remember buying an original years ago, for a restoration I was doing - and came across this wrapped in a clear bag, in a box of paperwork recently while having a clear out.
Is there anyone who might be able to offer any clues to an original - I don't want to advertise as original and be wrong
thanks for reading
