S3a float bowls

Post by Roy Hook »

Hi all, if I drain all the petrol from my float bowls on my 1975 S3a, the floats lower so much that the float valves fall out and land in the bottom of the float bowls, surely this shouldn't happen, and before you ask, yes the floats are set to the correct height and the bike runs just great, has anyone experienced the same?

Hi

Some of the after market float values are slightly shorter than the original ones , hence they fall out when the carb is totally empty Thumbs Up

all the best

Are you measuring float height or fuel height? I've found an appreciable difference between the two in the past... viewtopic.php?t=18210
