Q, i agree there was little at the show this year. All the one make clubs are dropping out of this.
Thanks to all who worked to put this stand together. Also, we have a new committee member in Mark Speight, Tango man.
He will be looking after club memorabilia.
Many thanks for taking on this post and welcome to the committee mate.

I thought it was a great display, really well done. Best thing at the show for sure. White coats were a nice touch. 8)

I know in the past there's been a bit of whinging and confusion about why your stand at Stafford is overlooked when it comes to awards. I'd like to make a constructive comment, hopefully without pissing anyone off...

It's got nothing to do with the quality, number or rarity of the bikes on display - there's no problem with that. :D

It's obvious you all put a lot of work in each year, both in advance and at the show, but the location works against you. Whichever angle you look at - or take photos of - your stand from, there's something else in the background making it look, well, a bit of a mess.

In the foyer at Donington you're self-contained and there's nothing behind except plain walls, which you can use to your advantage by hanging up your own banners or posters. At Stafford you're exposed and surrounded by all the other stands which you have no control over. The stands up against a wall have a natural advantage. I'd be tempted to try and erect some kind of board or sheeting (assuming you're allowed to) to show your stunning bikes off better.

Just my humble opinion as an ordinary punter and Triples fan, no offence meant to anyone ! I'll get me coat...

Stroker boy. You have obviously looked around Stafford and put some thought into your comments. I agree with what you say. It is also a bit dark where we are and we really need to get some little spot lights to highlight each bike. The backboard is a good idea. Problem is that someone has to store all the shit and the one's that display all have modest size workshops. We need someone in the club with a spare barn who wants to go to all the shows. Ta for posting a constuctive comment.

Exhibition Display Stands you can use FOC

Post by Harv »

I have 2 exhibition display stands you can borrow, they are the portable panel type, however one of them (the larger kit) is currently in Telford and it will be about 2 weeks before I can check that it is still OK to use. We are only 10 miles from Stafford and 12 miles from Uttoxeter so it would be no problem for me to bring them to the show(s) and put them up for you. Let me know if you are interested, you can pm me via Harv or use his e-mail paul.harvey47@ntlworld.com.
