Begs the question. Should gearbox oil need changing that often? The Kawasaki service manual says every subsequent 2,000 miles after running the engine in from brand new.SAM wrote:Sunny day had to take the S3 out for a run. nice to get a fix of Kawasaki triple!![]()

The average Car (a daily work horse) requires a gearbox oil change at ~6 years or 75,000 miles (which ever is the soonest).
If anything brake fluid should be changed a lot more often. The Kawasaki service manual says yearly. Also 'bench marking' against the average car, the suggested schedule for brake fluid change is closer in frequency, say three (3) years.
For brake fliud it is more about water and air ingress than anything else, so NEW brake fluid makes sense (not the old tin that has been kicking around in the garage since the last change).
Just some food for thought...?
