H2A Fuel Cap Re-Chrome

Post by Posh Pete »

These are not easy things to re-chrome. It is the polishing that you have to be careful of because the metal has a low melting point. Anyway, I am realy please with how this turned out. Here it is before chroming............

And here it is afterwards.............

May have a go at some indicator heads next. They are the same type of metal with the same sort of problem.

Tail piece is just about ready to fit now too. I just need one of those internal tail pice trims if anyone has one or knows where to get one? Simple but rare I guess!

Lots more work to do elsewhere though but hope to be able to bring it out this summer.

Not sure but think it was 'Z' Power. Could not have been anywhere else?

Got a new power supply for the polishing motor too, and it is definaltely more powerful.

Will sort out your brake caliper as soon as I can. Need to get one painted and re zinc'd etc. It will be a nice one though.
