Mot`d the H1A yesterday. I decided to ride it to the Mot station at 60 mph max as it`s been so many years on stop . Then somebody has always got to spoil things, 3 miles from home some twat takes advantage cause your on an old bike and that was it. Next thing I`m doing 80mph and leaving him in a cloud of smoke. ( Jesus I should be using my bus pass not acting like a juvenal delinquent))Anyway normality returned , got the MOT with an advisory (Higgsey`s Pipes) and went for a 50mile run about. The noise on the pipes is awesome and everybody just loves the music they make, even the guys at the MOT station. Wherever I went heads were turning,I think being booked for excessive noise is inevitable. Think the mixture will need sorting as I had to change the plugs but I also need to learn to ride it again and try and keep it more in the power band area. Today I went to the DVLA Swansea for my free Tax so if the weather is good on Sunday I will give it another outing. Tony H1A Cardiff if you see this will meet you at the Downs. Sorry for the ramblings but I really enjoyed it ( still got the grin factor) and wondered how the hell I survived when I had it new cause she was ridden hard. Can understand now why people back then used to ask , how are you still alive. Believe me thats what they used to say and I wondered what the hell they were on about. 39 years later I am beginning to understand.
Your lucky you got it through the MOT with Higgy pipes i was turned away as i pulled up at the garage the owner said he could hear me a mile away
so i took baffles out done some serious packing and got my H1a mot'd
