Caliper machining

Need a left caliper changed to a right hand one?????Mr Ritchie can you help????

Rob, i dont know which model you are working on ,but i thought you just took the mounting plate out and put it in back to front. Works for me on my kh400 special forks.

I don't know if you have to do this but the one on the right here has been machined to be used on the right hand side. This came off an H2.
The machining is simply the reducing of the mounting lug so its flush with the rest

Thanks for fast replies....should have been more precise!!! have got a new cnc bracket for the r/hand side but the caliper needs to have the inlet and bleed threads swapped so the bleed nipple faces forwards...remember a mate of ours did a twin disc conversion back in the 70's and just reshaped the pipe to feed from the front and bleed nipple out back......not a pretty sight.

I don't know about machining, but adaptors should be readily avaiable from hydraulics suppliers

Rog Nick thought it was you but could not remember!! Went to see him this morning to pick up ££££ and bits for the 70 and we "found" one .....did you do it for him????BTW love the concise answer!!!...will drop Malcs cases off to you next Friday. Cheers Bobby.

Dear God. I only done that caliper for Nick a couple of months back. He only has one mate who has machining facilities and he cant remember who done it?
