MY H2 HAS BADLY SMOKING ON THE RIGHT HAND POT BUT WITH NO LOSS OF POWER SO IVE GOT A REPLACEMENT OUTSIDE CRANK SEAL ON THE RIGHT , IVE STRIPPED TO THE SEAL IT DOES I ADMIT NOT LOOK THAT BAD BUT IT IS 37 YEARS OLD SO ITS PROB FAILED?..BUT THERE IS ALSO AN O RING SEAL WHICH IS THERE AND I HAVE NOT GOT A NEW ONE OF THESE , DO YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THESE AS WELL ?..THE O RING IS INTACT

Of course I would fit new one, why wait to have to change it later 8)

In the oil pump the 2 o-rings go hard and oil seeps into the rh feed chamber.

Disconnect the RH oil pipe from the pump. If the pump outlet keeps leaking oil thats the problem.

Simply swapping them over can effect a cure for years as they are squashed in different directions!!

I had a crank rebuild and a rebore before I discovered the cure on my H1.

start the bike up and smell the smoke, if it smells like 2 stroke then fo what windy says

if is smells like gearbox oil then do what JP says
